Clinical Laboratory Scientist
A well-known hospital in Placer County is currently looking for a Clinical Laboratory Scientist. This company is a great place to work for with an excellent teamwork environment among their employees. They are specifically looking for candidates that have experience working in the chemistry department.
Some skills and day-to-day duties include, but not limited to:
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with regulations such as HIPPA
- Act as a liaison between departments and vendors
- Follow Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendment requirements
- Take a complete blood count by automated blood cell counters
- Platelet counts and determination of pH level on platelet rich plasma
- Evaluate laboratory equipment and perform maintenance
- Monitor temperatures and inventories
- Participate in department assessments and inspections
- Perform apheresis product quality control
- Train staff members as needed
- Efficiently review test results
Requirements:
- Must be able to maintain equipment such as: Hematology Blood Cell Analyzers, BD Imagn, pH meter, Centrifuge, manual and electronic pipettes, and microscopes.
- Must be able to prioritize and organize work load.
- Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Must be detailed-oriented to keep accurate records.
- Must be able to perform repetitive operations.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
We are looking for individuals that have at least 1-2 years of experience as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist.
Candidates must have their California License for Medical Technologists to be considered for this position.
