High Level Polymer Chemist
Our client is seeking a polymer chemist to work in the new product and process development. This position requires a Ph.D. in Polymer Science or Material Science or related science.
- This position involves the analysis of surface chemistries of various polymer surfaces and their interactions with applied curable and vacuum deposited coatings
- Experience with UV or thermally-cured polysiloxane-type coatings is extremely important
- Experience with plasma polymerization, plasma chemistries, and/or coating adhesion technology are also a benefit
DUTIES
- Analysis of polymer surfaces and coatings, fundamental studies of surface chemistries, bond structures, and adhesion strength, and optimization of vacuum coating chemistries in order to develop new coated products
- Managing and tracking samples, working with vendors, outside analytical labs and potential customers, and reporting on the status projects will also be required
